Chapter 0 Prologue

 Prologue

Astraea, the land of creation, where the Goddess had descended and ruled by Queen Vi Victoria.

In a room of the temple in the sanctuary, where ordinary people were not allowed to enter, an exchange was taking place, which had become a regular event.

The room was furnished with luxury items that one would not expect from its bleak exterior.

A girl was lying on a canopied bed, which was both resilient and soft to the touch, with her face buried in the pillow, crying.

Standing by the bedside while looking down at the scene with cold eyes, was Edward, the third prince of Astraea; Which was also me.

“Saint, can you please stop this?”

“But…”

Yes, that was right.

The beautiful black-haired girl who was crying depressingly in front of me was a saint, and she was also a person from another world — Earth's Japan to be specific.

The saint had been crying ever since she came to this country, and when I asked her why, she told me that her boyfriend had died.

“When I woke up, I knew he was gone… and that I wouldn't see him again…”

I looked at the beautiful tears spilling from her eyes with cold eyes, thinking, “How can you cry so much?”

But, I knew it was fake anyway.

I looked at the saint with cold eyes, but the saint who keeps crying doesn't notice it.

“Besides…Ed won't sleep twice with me…”

“Of course I won't!”

“Uwoooh…”

As the Saint lamented, the sound of the rain through the window grew stronger.

The Saint's mental state was really troublesome because it was reflected in the weather.

If the bad weather continues, crops will be affected and disasters will occur.

So, she needs to control her emotions.

“Please pull yourself together! You've been told to pray to the Goddess, aren’t you!?”

“Un…If I don't pray, the blessings she gave to this country will be gone…”

“That is a matter of great importance for our country! I will prepare everything and anything you want, so just pray!”

“...Anything?”

I looked into the saint's sparkling eyes and thought, “I’ve done it.”

“So, Ed, will you sleep with me?”

“I said I'd get you 'things'.”

“I don't want it. Do you want to sleep with me?”

“No.”

“Sleep with me.”

“No.”

“Haru…would do it for me if I asked him.”

Hey. Don’t say that name—my name in my previous life!

“If you promise to pray properly, I'll give you…five minutes.”

“Five minutes? Five minutes is not enough! If I yawn, it'll be over! I want an hour!”

“I don't have time for this.”

“We don't have time for this.”

“But you called me an hour early, just in case. That gives you plenty of time, doesn't it?”

“...*Sigh*…”

How could she be so perceptive in such a place?

No, I knew this person was intelligent.

It was typical for her to be perceptive.

It would have been more disconcerting if she had cried out in a miserable manner.

But I guess this was her true nature.

I was deceived in my previous life, after all.

Younger kids who were easily fooled and must have been easy to handle.

“If one hour is not enough, then 30 minutes is fine. If it's shorter than that, I'll sleep for the rest of the day and not do anything else!”

Ugh...This was getting annoying.

I'm sick and tired of similar exchanges going on.

I sighed exaggeratedly and nodded my head, appealing to the fact that I was uncomfortable.

“...I understand. Thirty minutes exactly.”

“U-Un!!”

With a twinkle in her eye, the Saint slipped back to the bed, leaving room for one more person.

“Here you go.”

She opened the futon and invited me to come in.

Even if she doesn't do anything, she was such a bitchy saint to let a young man, who was not her lover, into her bed.

I was a naive innocent and I was happy to die not knowing she was such a bitch, but I never thought I would carry such a depressing spoiler into my next life…

It still smells as good as ever.

The things she used to cleanse herself after coming to this world have changed, and I'm sure she doesn't even use perfume, so what was that the same gentle smell?

I have no more regrets for everything in my previous life.

And yet, the blur that smoulders in my chest was repulsive.

“Why do I have to take care of an ex-girlfriend who cheated on me right before she died in a previous life when I was reincarnated and living free and easy…?”

“Hm?”

“It's nothing.”

How did this happen, really?

Goddess, please explain!

I’m really sorry about posting this after chapter 9!
